The Interlachen Jam Session
At 5:00 p.m. every Monday, people start arriving at
The Old Brush Store. Musicians come from near and far. Tables are filling with good things to eat. Lights are going on, candles are lit.
Soon the rafters of this historic building are ringing with music from banjos, fiddles, guitars and mandolins. A dobro player and a big old granddaddy bass arrives, welcomed by cheers from the other musicians.
We all sing along to good old country and gospel tunes, led by some of the best singers in the world. Fiddles play Appalachian, Celtic, even Western Swing tunes. And soon there is dancing in every available space in the crowded room
and on the porch.
Do come in and look around!
